It is what makes the difference between a good employee doing a job, and someone doing a job, but also thinking about the impact an action can have. It is also looking at the bigger picture and considering what implications an action can have to other areas of the business.

It is almost like an instinct which guides to right decisions and helps to find new opportunities, shape them and make them happen.
